Life in the Fast Lane
Just before we left the house this morning my dress decided to go all static. It still is and it’s driving me nuts! I’ve tried moisturising my legs and putting paper clips on the hem, as well as flapping it back and forth wildly in frustration. No dice. Do you guys have any tricks to stop static electricity?
It’s that time again. I’m thinking of getting a hair cut. Yep, it’s life in the fast lane around here. But seriously, these days getting my hair cut has turned into an ordeal. I have curly hair. We all know that. And not many people can cut curly hair well. My sister-in-law used to cut it but they’ve moved away. Last time I finally worked up the guts to go to a salon in the city, pay the $90 and get it done it was not what I wanted. It was a good 4 inches shorter than I wanted in some parts. Sure it grew into a great cut and she didn’t end up charging me but the whole shamozzle kind of scared me off. Stay tuned while I change my mind back and forth for the next 2 months as appears to be the way I roll.
The Not Shopping Report:
I holed up in the break room at lunch with Boozeman today and drew pictures so there was no temptation to shop. The thought of buying something new still makes me feel a little suffocated which is helping. I know that will change at some point. Until then I’m enjoying drawing pictures of calamari instead of shelling out coin. So far so good.

Difficult to do when you're already at work, but if you can remember to keep one at your desk, I hear that rubbing a dryer sheet on the inside of your garment can kill the static.
ReplyDeleteI love your outfits!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I especially love really tiny bows in hair. Don't know why. :)
Nice blog with a great theme.
Best wishes from one blogger to another,

Such a cute outfit. I love that print on the dress and the white knee socks are an adorable touch.
ReplyDeleteNice touch with the knee socks! It's hard to pull that off without looking like a loose lady who tries too hard. Well done! Cheers!
