Glory Days

I might just be born for days like this. It’s a grey, rainy Friday. I am wearing a flannelette, floral dress with a slip showing and a pair of docs. It doesn’t get much better than this.

I know I keep saying it. But if I could wear something like this every day, sister I would.

It’s the nostalgia of youth, I think. This was pretty much my uniform in my teens (though it was a lot baggier) and while I don’t remember those years being the time of my life, I’ve never managed to move past this as my favourite style of dress.

I’ve even dug out jewellery from when I was 14/15. The garnet was given to me by my Mum. The vintage opal was a gift from my best friend in high school. An apology for being angsty. The story just writes itself doesn’t it?

Flannelette: Target
Dress: Melrose Ave
Singlet: Big W
Belt: Myer
Rings: Gifts
Slip: ?
Shoes: Thrifted

Yes, very excited about the new house and decorating possibilities :) No rain here. At all. Bit of wind today but sun is shining brightly as usual. Went to the drive inns the other night. It was stinking hot but we bared with it because Inception was so damn good. What did you do on the weekend?
