Come Around
I am really looking forward to Autumn. The cooler weather, the beautiful colours everywhere, my birthday. There’s a reason it’s my favourite season. I feel like today’s outfit was a compromise between my longing for Autumn and the fact that it is still definitely Summer for another 24 days (but who’s counting?).
The detailing on this top is just gorgeous. It is part of my wedding wardrobe and I love that every time I wear it I think of that wonderful time. Having said that though it doesn’t get a huge amount of wear because the shape is a little awkward. It’s fantastic worn layered under a jacket in the colder climates but by itself it can be a little difficult. So I took some inspiration from Kyla’s look here and criss crossed it. And I love the result!
It’s almost like a super light cardigan now. Or that’s what I think when I see it. And paired with the boots and the faux suede skirt in these delicious tans, why I could almost believe it’s somewhere in the early 20’s until I go outside.
Until then I’m going to live in my fantasy world filled with crisp, crunchy autumn leaves, cozy nights wrapped in a blanket and tights as far as the eye can see!
