Old Time Rock ‘n’ Roll

Here’s what I like. Waking up in the morning after a late/busy Sunday night and thinking you’ve got nothing planned, only to walk into your wardrobe and find that at some stage over the weekend you’d had an idea and grouped a potential outfit together and left it there for your Future Self to find on a Monday morning. Thanks Past Self, you’re super thoughtful, and frankly rather awesome. Also, nice hair.

The best part of all is when the potential outfit actually works out, like today. I really like what’s going on with this get up. Here are 2 tops that I wear to work often but here they are in an entirely new combination. The checks peeking through the cut out embroidery around the guitars is sweet and the whole thing makes me feel a little Southern, a little Rock ‘n’ Roll, a little hanging out with a panther. What is it with this silhouette that says panther to me?

The coiff was a little, coiffier, this morning until I met with some persistent mist. You and I both know that I love me some precipitation but the same cannot be said for my artificially straightened fringe. Oh well, mend and make do right?

As I mentioned earlier, Sunday was super busy. I met with the band and the videographers to start work on the film clip. More on that as it develops but in the meantime here’s a peek at what I wore to the meeting on Sunday.

Guitar Shirt: General Pants
Check Shirt: Valley Girl
Belt: Trade Secret
Skirt: Target
Shoes: Novo

Sunday’s Outfit
Jacket: Hand me down
Singlet: Myer
Skirt: Macy*s
Tights: Myer
Boots: Thrifted
Necklace worn on wrist: Diva
Bag: The Fashion Station
